Marilyn Almodóvar
Marilyn Almodóvar is the author of a series of YA paranormal novels. Born in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, Lyn is a lover of words whose reading tastes range from Victorian novels to the books of Stephen King. Her favorite past-times have always been reading and writing, two activities that let her escape to other worlds.
It was this love that propelled her to choose Theater and French as majors in University, with a minor in English Victorian Literature. Lyn lived for almost a decade in England followed by three years in France before returning home to the States. A self-confessed citizen of the world, she is fluent in English, French and Spanish, with basic knowledge of the Italian language.
Lyn could happily exist breathing the clean air of Narnia, trapped in a cupboard under the stairs with Harry, fighting alongside Captain Jack Sparrow, doing an internship in Torchwood, or traveling around time and space with the Doctor…as long as she can have Mr. Spock, Captain Kirk and Captain Mal as companions. I’m probably unhealthily obsessed with games, sci-fi, comedy and fantasy football competitions. I somehow managed to rip myself away from all of the above long enough to write a book - I know - I can't believe it either!
Kings of the World is my first novel. I have decided to ePublish to share it with the world and to help raise money to find a cure for Rett Syndrome. Part proceeds from all sales of this book – and all future books I write - will be donated to charities looking for a cure for Rett Syndrome. There is some fantastic and positive research taking place around the world that leaves people with the hope that there will be revolutionary changes to how we treat the condition in lifetime. Want to know where I got my love of writing? From my great-grandma, Ma. She immigrated from Ireland, alone, when she was a young teen. That woman is probably the strongest woman to ever grace this planet. She lived into her 90s and even wrote a book about her life. She self-published it. Yeah, it's soooo in my blood. She left behind a love for writing and, well, quite a few Gaelic curse words. (© meggjensen.blogspot.com)

Michel Lee King
Well, My name is Michel King. It is often mispronounced and confused as Michael which is a stigma I've lived with long enough for it to be funny.
I am a hippie trapped in the wrong era (I so want an old school VW Beetle). I love to live in my imagination. I write because it is fun. It is what I love to do, what brings me joy, and happiness, and a sense of peace. My characters are some of my best friends and all of their experiences are taken from things I have seen mystery in no matter how mundane they seem on the surface.
I write in a myriad of genres, all of which collide and are fairly contradictory. All of my books hold light and dark elements of life. Some are primarily light and some are primarily dark, but all blend both extremes to dance in the breath between. Definitely fun and abby-normal, but being normal is just a bit too boring for me I guess.
I also sing. Usually in my kitchen and using whatever my son decides is the perfect microphone for that moment. And, dance. I love to dance about as much as I love to write. As such, I have many costumes from my professional dance troupe days that I put on to twirl around the house (hardwood floors are a wonderful thing). (© http://awriterswonderings.blogspot.com)

Michelle Lynn
Michelle is an Amazon Best Selling Author. She moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed. (© http://www.michellelynnbooks.com/)

Michelle has always loved storytelling. When she was a child, her
favorite stories were of monsters and things that lurked in the dark.
Telling stories often frightened her classmates and got her into a lot
of trouble with her teachers. They had no sense of humor.
As an adult, Michelle traded her love of writing for the corporate
life where she was an IT professional. Today, she’s doing what she loves
best – writing and storytelling.
Michelle grew up in Chicago, but currently lives in NE Georgia with
her husband and their two dogs, one of which is a Beezlepup. She loves
scary books, funny movies, sports cars, dogs, chocolate, old cemeteries,
and changes of season. Michelle even loves photography. One day, maybe
she’ll upload a better photo – one that wasn’t taken in late afternoon
with Photobooth. Or, maybe not.
Michelle writes on a Mac and is a true geek at heart. She agrees with
her dogs who think cheese and bacon should be in their own food group.
But most of all, she believes everyone should trust their imagination,
have a kind heart, and should definitely have a sense of humor. (© http://michellemuto.wordpress.com/)

M.R. Polish
M.R. Polish was born in Idaho, a long, long, long, maybe not that long time ago.... Writing has always been there for her. Growing up, her mind was filled with stories, some she shared and others she filed away to write down later in life. It wasn't until 2011 that she decided to publish her stories for everyone to enjoy. Her first award and when writing became more than just an idea was in the 5th grade. She won the scary story contest for the school newspaper. It is one story she still has tucked away for memories. Her teacher told her she could be anything she wanted and that she had a talant for writing, being creative and drawing people into her stories. M.R. took that to heart and continued to write, although mostly in secret until recent years.
Now you can find her enjoying life with her family - wrangling her four kids, setting traps in the house with toys for unsuspecting victims (aka, her husband) and writing down all her crazy and fun stories.
"Life is too short to stand by and watch everyone else live your dreams. The bigger the dream, the bigger the adventure!" ~ M.R. Polish

As RACHEL AUKES (that's my real name), I write speculative fiction (science fiction, dark fantasy, horror) because I absolutely love asking, "what if..." (and I like to kill people off). As BERINN RAE, I write the same stuff, only with a romantic twist. But, don't worry, because unlike in mental hospitals and online chat rooms, writing under multiple personalities is okay.
Anyhoo, my life really isn't that entertaining. I could make shit up, but then that would be fiction, and you should buy one of my books for that. So, here's the real scoop on me: I was raised on a farm in Iowa where I [insert a pretentious grin here] boasted the small town’s largest (okay, and only) comic book collection. I still addicted to stories starring characters with kickassitude. I've did the college thing--both undergraduate (go Panthers!) and graduate (go Bulldogs!)--before going out into the "real" world and realizing that it's too much work and too little play. Alas, bills (and college loans) needed paid, so I joined the hordes of office zombies and made a career out of disentangling red tape and destroying TPS reports. Like I warned you, not very exciting.
But, wait! That's not all. Since you've stayed with me this far, let me tell you some personal stuff... things that I love. I love flying airplanes (preferably, the old stuff) around the countryside. Nothing beats a sunset flight. I'm sure sunrise flights are just as good, but I've never been awake for one. I fly all around with my awesomely supportive husband (yup, love him!) and my incredibly spoiled sixty-pound lap dog (love her, too, even when she wants to go outside every five minutes while I'm deep into writing mode). What else do I love? I love to read, I love to write, and I love to hear from readers. Email me (Rachel at RachelAukes dot com). (© www.rachelaukes.com)

Raine
Thomas is the author of the exciting and original series of YA
fantasy/romance novels about the Estilorian plane. She became truly
passionate about writing when one of her stories took an Honorable
Mention in a fourth-grade writing competition (who would have thought a
story about a dancing spider would garner so much attention?). Carrying
that passion with her, she earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a
focus in Creative Writing from Georgia State University, then her
master’s degree in Humanities from Central Michigan University.
Residing
in Orlando, Florida, Raine is a hopeless romantic with a background in
the fields of mental health and wedding planning…two areas that
intersect far more than one would think. Her years working with children
and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges inspired her
to create young protagonists who overcome their own conflicts. When she
isn’t writing or glued to e-mail or social networking sites, Raine can
usually be found vacationing with her husband and daughter on one of
Florida’s beautiful beaches or crossing the border to visit with her
Canadian friends and relatives. (© http://rainethomas.com)
