Cover Reveal Even Hippies Get the Blues by Michel Lee King

Even Hippies Get the Blues by Michel Lee King

It is the third day of a new year and I have some news for you! Don’t worry, this does not require a doctor’s note. My second novel, EvenHippies Get The Blues, is approaching a state that is fit for human consumption. The editing is going well and I am preparing a whole slew of fun stuff leading up to its release.

To kick off this month and a half of awesomeness, I would like to present to you this!

Beautiful isn’t it? Ashley Byland from Redbird Designs did a fabulous job interpreting my random rants of excitement into something absolutely picture perfect.
Featured on the front cover is Amy “Star” Landry, a self-professed peace-monger living out her days of less-than-blissful ignorance in Portland, Oregon. She waits tables in a crappy restaurant in an attempt to save up enough to pursue her artwork full time. Everything is going relatively according to plan until a near death experience in her section causes rippling effects through her reality. Not the least of which is the appearance of Travis, a blond paramedic that can restart a heart once his blues eyes stop it.

Murphy and his pesky law seem to have painted a target on her back as her illusions are torn away to reveal the misery she has been deluding herself to enjoy. With her spiral downward, there is an equal but opposite spiral upward as she discovers what real peace is all about.

How many times can a waitress be interrogated in one day? How much orange acrylic paint can get caught in dreads the morning before an interview? How does one retain their composure while dripping paint nude in the living room while staring down a trespassing police officer?

Join Amy on her walk through a wild ride to find out.

Even Hippies Get The Blues is a literary humor with romance elements that will release in time for Valentine’s Day.
