The Otherside Series has a Film Option Agreement!

Directly from Denise's Blog:

I may be in Paris, but things keep happening in the US while I’m gone!

After months and months of negotiation, I’m so excited to announce that The Otherside Series, my young adult science fiction romance series, has a film rights agreement!

Lyrical Moon Productions has obtained the film option rights to HERE and THERE!!!

They tell me that the screenplay is being worked up and and original music is being written and recorded.  Actress singer/song writer Bryce Hitchcock has been attached to the project for the role of Julia Phillips.

Bryce narrated the audiobook for HERE, and the soon to be released THERE.

You can find out more about Bryce Hitchcock on her Facebook page and follow her on Twitter @brycehitchcock.

I’ll post more details as I get them!

Keep up to date with everything with this series over at Denise's Blog!

Redemption Cover Reveal

The explosive conclusion to the bestselling series– The Chosen.

Four shall fight. Two shall remain.
The game of immortal elements has advanced to an unexpected level since Will and Emma have joined. But was their union a part of Water’s careful orchestration? Has the game swung to his advantage? With Emma’s life — and the lives of those she loves — at risk, every move could be deadly.

A mother’s quest to protect her son has turned into a fight with eternal ramifications.
Realizing she’s the weakest participant in the final version of the game, Emma will do anything within her power to save Jake and Will. Even if it means dying.

A man who will do anything to save the woman he loves.
As Will struggles with the implications of his destiny, he’s left to question the true intentions of the father he’s never known and what it means to Emma’s survival. The woman he is now bound to for eternity.

A boy who is the key.
In loneliness and desperation, Jake friends the lurking shadows, and now his heart battles between love and hate. The shadows offer to help him save his mother but does it come at a price?

The final confrontation is on the horizon and Emma is forced to confront her nightmare—is she the destruction of the world or the savior?

3 Fall into the Otherside Short Story Series - Denise Grover Swank

I’m kicking off another short story series for  On the Otherside in anticipation of the release of THERE in December. Each story will be a prequel to HERE and give you a little insight to the characters lives leading up to Julia’s accident and the beginning  the book.

This will also be a chance for readers of my other series to get a glimpse into the  characters from On the Otherside. While HERE is a young adult book and appropriate for younger preteen readers, it’s not juvenile in its tone or context. It’s a story with sixteen and seventeen year old main characters but the emotional depth you’ve come to expect from my books (at least I hope you have) is still there. In fact,I consider HERE to be my best written book to date if you’re looking for pretty words. I think the story is pretty good too, but then again I’m kind of partial.  In any case, if you haven’t read HERE you can check out the stories and see if it’s a series you want to try.

The stories will ONLY be available to newsletter subscribers. I may bundle them together and publish them at some point, but that itself is a bit of a hassle and not my intention.  I enjoy writing the stories and it’s a gift to my readers. I will post a link and a password to read the story on my website each month from September to December.  Here’s a list of the stories I plan to write:

September: Once in a Lifetime, Reece POV, the story behind the painting in his room. (Note: this story was originally a guest blog post)
October: Julia POV, Julia and Monica before the accident that killed Monica
November: Evan POV, when Evan realizes he has the chance to see Julia again
December: Reece POV, when Julia meets Reece in the church before the accident

**Personal note: OMG SO EXCITED!!!!**

Here.

So I've been trying to think about what i could post for the current book I just finished "Here (On The Otherside)"  by Denise Grover Swank.  I didn't want to do a review or give away any spoilers. So I've been like "What can I post about this awesome book?" I think I have finally come up with a good idea though. What do you guys think of a discussion group or something? I was sorta even thinking about a virtual book club and we pick one of the interesting looking books on Amazon (seeing as I use my Kindle Fire for all my reading) or something along those lines? Let me know what you guys think!

I know I said this before, but I am also thinking about doing something with FanFiction. That's really how  how I started a while ago, but then gave up on it until Ashley got me reading books again, yet I still find myself going back to it sometimes and enjoy reading what people write just for fun about some of their favorite movies, music artist, ect. I'm currently reading one about Justin Bieber; and if you don't know, I am a HUGE BELIEBER! Hehe. Well for more reasons than one. I mean he is cute to look at. ;)

If you would like to read my review on "Here" please check out my good reads page here. I will be posting most of my reviews over there, so feel free to add me! I love see what other people are currently reading, or have read in the past; or even read. Its how I get some of my books on my Kindle library.

As always, Thanks for checking out the page! Told you I'd try to be better at posting. AS you can see, I'm trying! :)

Lauren.

Twenty-Nine and a Half Reasons Has a Cover!

When Rose reports for Fenton County jury duty she figures she’s lucky to get out of a morning working at the DMV. Instead, despite a disastrous encounter with the new assistant district attorney, Mason Deveraux, she’s picked as a juror on a murder case. As the case progresses, she realizes an ominous vision she had in the men’s restroom proves the defendant is innocent. And there’s not a cotton picking thing she can do about it.
Or is there?
As if things weren’t bad enough, Rose’s older sister Violet is going through a mid-life crisis. Violet insists that Rose stop seeing her sexy new boyfriend, Arkansas state detective Joe Simmons, and date other men. Rose is done letting people boss her around, but she can’t commit to Joe either. Still, Rose isn’t about to let the best thing in her life slip away.

The Chosen Summer Shorts– #1 Emergence

http://www.denisegroverswank.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Emergence.jpg

Emergence, the first short story for The Chosen series is now available on Amazon for $0.99.  The good news is that newsletter subscribers get to read it on my website for free! The newsletters for June, July and August will include a link to that month’s story on my site, along with a password. The story is in a PDF file.

All of the stories are prequels to Chosen and the first one is Emma’s story.  It starts three years before Chosen, when Jake began to get visions and the Bad Men first showed up. I’ll be honest. I really, really love this story. I neglected my children and wrote it in less than twenty-four hours. It’s 10,000 words, forty-two pages long, so you know I spent most to that time with my butt firmly planted in a chair. But I couldn’t help it. Her story just rolled right out of of me. When I finished, I attached it to an an email and sent it to my crit partner Trisha Leigh. Trisha’s always been a Will fan, but she told me she LOVED it and said this story gave her an entirely new perspective on Emma.
